On Location in the Bahamas

Imagine waking up to the sound of waves lapping against the shore, or crickets calling as the sun goes down. Where the only noise is nature. There’s something about travel that calms the mind.

We are busy preparing for our Brand launch and where better to shoot some of our new product than on an island where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean, the Bahamas. But this isn’t the bustle of Nassau, this is the tranquility of Eleuthera. A place still relatively undisturbed, where you can snorkel off the shore with turtles, or pick & drink from the coconuts on the palm trees that sway with the trade winds. Tranquility isn’t the first thing that springs to mind when talking about the Bahamas, but getting off the beaten path is what travel is meant to be, exploring and finding those hidden gems. We are staying at The Other Side, (www.ontheos.com) a glamping paradise, with 3 tents and 3 shacks the only available accommodation, with everything  run on solar power. It makes sense then that here is the location where we test and shoot our brand giveaways such as the Cook tote bag, a gift with purchase to encourage re-use, and therefore less need for plastic bags. Also where we introduce our woven badge, a badge of honor that represents everything Cook stands for. Travel, sustainability & harmony with the environment we step foot in.

Only 90 minutes from the US mainland, Eleuthera still has an isolated island feel, and as soon as you set foot in the tiny airport, time slows down and so does your mind.
