Years later, I packed a small bag and went travelling for a year. It became the best year of my life. With little money and no real plan, I found myself living slowly, moving unhurriedly, and connecting with people in a way I never had before. Strangers showed kindness, communities welcomed me as one of their own, and every day felt rooted in the present moment. That year taught me something profound: when you travel simply, you don’t just see the world — you become part of it.
